FISHING LICENCE? Search online "BC tidal water sport fishing licence" and be sure to add salmon conservation stamp to the transaction to ensure that you can fish salmon too. Children under the age of 16 need a licence too but their's is free. Licences may also be purchased at the marina here in Port Hardy. For an online puchase click here.

RESERVATIONS? Definately recommended to ensure good dates locked in. Mid-summer is the busiest which could mean dissapointment on the last minute. Accomadations tie into this as well so call us and we'll help you with both.

TOILET ON BOARD? Yes there is a toilet (head) on board and it's private.

WEATHER A PROBLEM? Being a larger weather worthy boat, we don't worry about that in the summer months at all. There are many protected fishing spots on the Port Hardy side to give a smoother ride should there be a system moving through. The "Starfisher" is weather class 2 by m.o.t. standards which is a big plus. Check out Port Hardy annual weather on the web

FISH CLEANING PACKING AND SHIPPING? Hardy Buoys fish processing take care of all of our needs including air travel approved cartons at a reasonable cost or if you prefer we'll clean and bag them ready for local travel. If you're travellng locally we suggest you bring coolers.

FOOD AND DRINKS? We supply some snack food and fruit as well as an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages     

FISHING GEAR? Supplied. You may bring yours if you like
