You can also explore the world between sea and land by examining the tidal pools that dot the beaches. Aboard the Starfisher is a small reference library detailing the fascinating eco-system that survives in these pools, half on land and half in water.

If you're experienced and eager to be on your own, you or your group can arrange to be dropped off at a pre-arranged location and picked up later. Cape Scott Provincial Park, which is accessible by a 45-minute boat trip west of Port Hardy, is one of our most popular drop-off and pick-up points for campers and hikers.
